NHS Resolution’s Safety and Learning team, in partnership with the NationaI Infusion and Vascular Access Society (NIVAS) are hosting a virtual forum on extravasation Injury claims, learning and guidance. We will also hear about developing national extravasation guidelines from chair of NIVAS, Andrew Barton, the learning from claims analysis by Ali Macefield and Lisa-Marie Musgrave as well as the clinical experience of renown consultant plastic and burns surgeon, Mr Jorge Leon-Villapalos. The purpose is to raise awareness of extravasation injuries and claims to spread insight as well as promote process review across health providers.
